Grades for the Milwaukee Bucks at the quarter mark of 2021-22 season
By Dalton Sell
Milwaukee Bucks: 2021-22 quarter grade for Khris Middleton
Just like Holiday, Khris Middleton has also struggled to come out firing this season due to the shortened offseason and having to miss time early on. Middleton missed several games for the Bucks after testing positive for COVID-19, and he has struggled to regain his footing upon coming back. The forward has lost some of his efficiency offensively, specifically from behind the arc, as he is shooting just 32 percent from deep on the year. That would be the second-worst mark of his career after his rookie season all the way back in 2012-13. Despite his struggles, there is little to no reason to worry about Middleton. Anyone who watched the title run can vouch for that. It will take some time for him to get back up to speed, and hopefully his bout with COVID-19 will not hold him back throughout the season.
Quarter Grade: B
Milwaukee Bucks: 2021-22 quarter grade for Giannis Antetokounmpo
Fresh off his Finals MVP-winning campaign, Giannis Antetokounmpo is having yet another great season for the Bucks. While his numbers are down in several categories, the Greek Freak is still playing at an MVP level throughout the first quarter of the year. One could also say that he is an early candidate for Defensive Player of the Year as he continues to make highlights on that side of the ball nightly. At 26-years-old, Antetokounmpo just continues to get better and better, and with that championship swagger now under his belt, the sky is the limit for the two-time MVP and the Bucks this season.
Quarter Grade: A+
