DeMarcus Cousins should enjoy reuniting with Jrue Holiday as members of the Milwaukee Bucks

Cousins should enjoy getting some burn alongside Jrue Holiday on the Bucks because this will not be their first time playing together. The pair previously played together several years ago with the New Orleans Pelicans, where they were a solid tandem. While it was short-lived as Cousins played in New Orleans for a mere 65 games, that previous chemistry between the two should help to some degree as Cousins now looks to find his niche in Milwaukee.

This chemistry between the pair was certainly on display during their first full season together in 2017-18 up until Cousins suffered a season-ending injury. According to NBA.com/stats, Cousins received 805 passes from Holiday in 48 games played.  To put that into perspective, in second place was Jameer Nelson, who threw Cousins 522 passes. On the passes from Holiday, Cousins shot 45.5 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from 3-point range, which was solid. Although Cousins will be playing a far different role now than what he was doing back then, Holiday knows what the former All-Star likes offensively, and he expressed excitement about bringing him in.

While reuniting with Holiday will not bring Cousins back to his All-NBA form, it will be helpful for the big man to see a familiar face on his new team. Things might not have worked as the two had hoped during their first go-around in New Orleans, but keep an eye on this Holiday-Cousins duo the second time around as they aim to chase a championship once more.
