A bad night gets even worse as Khris Middleton exited the game early for the Milwaukee Bucks

Like Tatum, Khris Middleton tends to be must-see television whenever these two teams face off. However, that was not the case last night as he struggled throughout the matchup, tallying a mere four points on 2-of-8 shooting. Middleton just could not get into a groove offensively during his 24 minutes of action, which proved troublesome for the Bucks. While frustrating, there is little time to reflect on this performance as all Bucks fans anxiously await news on Middleton’s knee.

It was undoubtedly a terrifying sight as Middleton landed awkwardly in the final moments of the third quarter, hobbling down the court before intentionally fouling to get himself out of the game. He walked off on his own two feet back to the locker room, where it was reported soon after that Middleton would not return after suffering a hyperextended knee. At that point, most fans were checked out of the game and solely focused on Middleton.

Head coach Mike Budenholzer provided an update after the game, telling reporters that the Bucks will know more tomorrow about the severity of the injury, but the initial indications are that this will not end up being anything extremely serious. That is all Bucks fans could ask for at this point as the team is already beyond banged up from top to bottom. The team may have to brace to play without Middleton for the foreseeable future, but as Budenholzer said, they will not know much until the forward undergoes more tests on that knee. We are all wishing for some good news.
