The lunacy behind the Milwaukee Bucks trading for Mo Bamba

The list here is finite. Compared to some of the other trade proposals floating around involving the Bucks, this one makes quite a bit of sense in the bigger picture. Obviously, the uncertainty with the return of Lopez makes the idea of adding another big body justifiable on Milwaukee’s end.

Any form of lunacy might come from Orlando’s side and their willingness to accept this package in a hypothetical trade. While Donte DiVincenzo is Milwaukee’s most desirable trade asset, he is still looking to make his season debut after undergoing ankle surgery in June. It would be quite a risk to trade for a player that has not suited up in such a long period. Even if they were fine with bringing in the 24-year-old without seeing him in action first, there are questions about where he would fit. With Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs, and Markelle Fultz on the roster, the Magic do not exactly need to add another guard to the backcourt. Semi Ojeleye would simply be a salary filler to make it work.

While the Magic might not be keen on adding another guard, this trade is not the most outrageous proposal in the world. The Bucks might be hesitant about letting DiVincenzo go, but their current center predicament makes it more understandable to potentially send him out.
