The Milwaukee Bucks certainly made some memories in 2021 that will last a lifetime and beyond. From the P.J. Tucker trade to a roller coaster ride of a postseason run that saw Milwaukee win the title for the first time in 50 years to an iconic championship celebration, last year was incredibly kind to the Bucks. However, all good things must eventually come to an end, and Bucks fans will cherish last year for the rest of their lives as it comes to a close.

Although it will be hard to top 2021, that will certainly not stop the Bucks from trying in 2022 as they chase another championship. The Bucks remain firmly in the conversation among the NBA’s top contenders as they are off to another strong start this season. As the defending champions begin a new journey in 2022, here is a New Year’s resolution for everyone on the roster.

Milwaukee Bucks: 2022 New Year’s resolution for Brook Lopez – Continue having a smooth recovery

Brook Lopez’s 2021-22 season has been a difficult one as he has only played one game to this point. After the season-opener, the big man was sidelined with back soreness for several games before opting to undergo back surgery after it never got better. Because he is currently recovering, his lone resolution should be to work his way back up to full strength. There have been murmurs in Milwaukee that the big man could potentially return down the line this season if everything goes according to plan, so that seems like a feasible resolution.

If the Bucks can get Lopez back for the postseason, it would boost their title hopes tremendously. Throughout last year’s title run, he showed how impactful he could be for this team, and everyone in this fanbase has their fingers crossed that he could eventually come back this year. But, for now, that is all far too down the line to do anything but speculate. We all hope that Lopez has a good rehabilitation process and that he continues to work his way back.
