Milwaukee Bucks: 2022 New Year’s resolution for Donte DiVincenzo – Be a boost on both sides of the ball of the bench

Donte DiVincenzo had a difficult 2021. After playing a crucial role as a starter for the Bucks during the regular season, he was injured in the playoffs and forced to miss the final three rounds of their title run. He also missed a sizeable portion of the start to this season as he rehabilitated, but after an extended absence, he has returned. During his three games played, DiVincenzo has justifiably looked rusty. Yet, the guard has the potential to be a difference-maker off the bench if he can put the pieces together. Offensively, DiVincenzo has shown that he has a serviceable 3-point shot and can space the floor. Most of his scoring troubles come close to the hoop, and his finishing could be a New Year’s resolution on its own. Defensively, the 23-year-old has all the tools to be a reputable defender for the champs, which will be a massive boost. If DiVincenzo can find his footing on the offensive end while playing robust defense off the bench, he could be an X-factor for this team in their quest to repeat as champions.

Milwaukee Bucks: 2022 New Year’s resolution for George Hill – Regain some level of 3-point consistency

During the 2019-20 NBA season, George Hill led the league in 3-point percentage after shooting a blistering 46 percent from deep. That red-hot shooting made him incredibly valuable off the bench for the Bucks, and many hoped that he could rekindle that sweet shooting when the team brought him back in free agency. However, Hill’s 3-point shooting has been on the complete opposite end of the spectrum as he is shooting a career-low 31 percent from long range on the season. Given how much the Bucks rely on outside shooting, this has been a massive issue during Hill’s minutes. Hopefully the veteran can turn a new leaf in 2022 and regain his outside stroke for the Bucks. Hill previously showed that he can be a marksman in this system, and for someone who has shot an efficient 38.2 percent from three in his career, he can certainly do it once again.
