Milwaukee Bucks: 2022 New Year’s resolution for Jrue Holiday – Carry his hot start over into January

Like Middleton, Jrue Holiday has dealt with adversity this season. The guard missed time early on due to an injury and then an illness, making it a challenge to find a groove when he came back into the lineup. However, following a rough start, Holiday flipped the switch in December by averaging 21.3 points on shooting 56 percent field goal shooting and 43.5 percent 3-point shooting while he also handed out 7.3 assists per game. He has been downright sensational, and Bucks fans have started campaigning for the guard to make an appearance in the 2020 All-Star Game. If he will do that, he needs to ride the hot hand into January and continue playing this brand of basketball for the Bucks. Of course, it will also help as Milwaukee looks to keep rolling and work their way up in the Eastern Conference standings and make a run at another title once the postseason arrives. If he can keep this up, the Bucks will be incredibly dangerous.

Milwaukee Bucks: 2022 New Year’s resolution for Giannis Antetokounmpo – Bump up his free throw percentage up to 75 before the postseason

For a player that has a résumé as illustrious as Giannis Antetokounmpo’s is, there is very little for him to improve upon. However, one of the biggest remains his shooting, particularly from the free throw line. Antetokounmpo currently leads the league in free throw attempts with 294, which is a career-high 10.1 per game. He is shooting just 68.7 percent on these shots, leaving extra points on the table whenever he steps to the line. These free throw issues are obviously nothing new as it has been an issue throughout his career, but if he could finally get a grip on this shooting, he would become more unstoppable than he already has been this season. Antetokounmpo has the potential to be a great shooter in spurts, but he should aim to make it consistent in 2022 as he looks to defend his title as the reigning NBA Finals MVP.
