Updated Milwaukee Bucks’ trade deadline targets – Justin Holiday

Sticking with Milwaukee’s need for bench scoring, Justin Holiday would also be a solid target for the defending champs to pursue. Rumors have been swirling for months that the Indiana Pacers could trade away the key components of their roster and begin a rebuild before the deadline. If a firesale takes place, the Bucks should call about Holiday’s services.

The swingman is having a great season with the Pacers by averaging 10.8 points while shooting 36.9 percent from deep on a career-high 7.1 attempts per contest. Instant offense like that is just what the Bucks as Holiday could provide ample amount of scoring and shooting. In addition to the spark he would bring offensively, Holiday is a quality defender that could give Budenholzer yet another lengthy wing to utilize on that side of things.

To acquire Holiday, the Bucks would have to find a way to take on the remainder of his $6 million salary this season. A combination of Donte DiVincenzo and Semi Ojeleye would be enough to get it done financially, but it remains unknown what the Pacers might be asking for in exchange for their second unit sparkplug’s services. Regardless, the Bucks should keep an eye on the situation as the deadline inches closer and closer.
