Milwaukee Bucks: Bobby Portis

Which role players will step up for the Milwaukee Bucks tonight?

Against the Bulls, the Bucks had four players score in double figures and three of them were the big three. The combined for 59 of their 94 points (62 percent) and Bobby Portis’ 12 gave those four 75.5 percent of the total points.

If Holiday misses this game as expected, someone (or a couple of someones) will need to pick up the slack. Portis has scored in double figures in all but three games this season (and only one as a starter), so it’s a guaranteed lock that he’ll be one of those role players who will step up.

Outside of him, it would be nice to see Pat Connaughton have a big game after not hitting a shot against the Bulls. He had a pair of double-digit games before that, snapping out of the funk he had been in.

George Hill could also stand to have a big night. Before his double-figure effort against the Memphis Grizzlies, he had gone 10 games without scoring in double figures and averaged under five points in that time. He should be in line for extended minutes with Holiday out, so the opportunity will be there.

Donte DiVincenzo needs to have a big game soon to get his confidence going. He’s been struggling with everything in terms of scoring, but a lot of the frustration has been towards his lack of finishing. He’s only made three 2-point shots in the nine games since his return. He’s had some good looks but some ugly attempts.

DiVincenzo having a big game against the Kings could be useful for another reason as well.
