They were far from perfect, but the Milwaukee Bucks’ Big 3 continued their hot streak with a win over the Chicago Bulls

With a win last night, the Bucks moved to 18-3 on the season when their Big 3 is intact. This trio has been outstanding when they have been fortunate enough to share the floor together, though last night’s meeting with the Bulls was far from their best outing of the season.

As usual, Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way by scoring 30 points to go along with 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal. That is an incredible stat line for the Greek Freak, though he did run into some trouble offensively. His shot selection came into question throughout, settling for turnaround jumpers and 3-pointers when he could have bullied his way inside. Nevertheless, Antetokounmpo managed to get the job done with another MVP-caliber performance.

Alongside Antetokounmpo was Khris Middleton, who struggled to find his shot for virtually all of the game. However, after scoring just nine points throughout the first three quarters, the forward flipped the switch in the fourth and scored seven clutch points to help Milwaukee secure the win. Middleton finished with 16 points on a less than ideal 6-of-15 shooting, but once again, he came up clutch when the team needed him to most. With 10 rebounds, six assists, a steal, a block, and just one turnover, it was an overall solid performance from the two-time All-Star aside from his early shooting struggles.

Lastly, Jrue Holiday was still looking for his footing throughout this one as he was playing in just his second game back from an ankle injury. Coming off the bench once again, the guard scored 13 points on 12 shot attempts. Despite his shooting struggles, Holiday made a massive difference with his defense as he hounded whoever he was matched up against, particularly DeRozan. It is beyond welcoming to have him back in the lineup, even when that shot is not falling regularly.
