Milwaukee Bucks’ buyout target No. 5 – Thaddeus Young

Many would say that Thaddeus Young is the biggest prize potentially set to hit the buyout market if the San Antonio Spurs cannot trade him by the deadline. There will be no shortage of contenders monitoring his situation, and the Bucks should do everything to get to the front of the line.

Young would be exactly what the Bucks need right now. Although he is not a center, the 6-foot-8 power forward would be another hulking player to utilize, particularly defensively. He would bring incredibly versatility to the table on that side of the ball, making the Bucks more formidable with another household defender alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, and others. Adding Young could have a P.J. Tucker-type impact for the Bucks, giving them another battle-tested piece for the postseason that can contribute immediately.

If he is bought out, Young would be an ideal target for the Bucks without question. Not only would they be adding another strong veteran piece that can defend at a high level, but the champs would also be keeping him away from other contenders that could have the same line of thinking. Young is someone teams would love to have on their side in a seven-game series but hate to go against. For now, everything is waiting to see what the word is on his contract with the Spurs.

Stay tuned to see what the Milwaukee Bucks have in store over what should be a very busy next few days.
