Giannis Antetokounmpo (and the entire Bucks offense) should have an easier night

He finished incredibly strong against the Miami Heat with 21 points in the second half, but they still found ways to make life difficult for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Tonight should be a much easier night for Antetokounmpo, as well as the Bucks offense as a whole, which is saying something because they did score 120 on Wednesday.

Chicago’s defense has dipped considerably as of late with a lot of that due to not having Caruso and Lonzo Ball. DeRozan, LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic aren’t known for their defensive prowess and it has shown without their two best defenders.

In the last 15 games, the Bulls have the sixth-worst defensive rating at 116.3 (the Bucks have been slightly worse at 116.6). I say that though, the last game was apparently a tribute to the 90s with a 94-90 final, so maybe they’ll prove me wrong yet again!

Regardless, the Bulls don’t have the personnel to guard Antetokounmpo or even keep him in check. That’s no disrespect to the guys on the roster, but they just don’t match up well with him. Their best hope is to try their best to shrink the floor on his drives by collapsing and forcing the ball out of his hands.

He put up 30 points in the first matchup and I’d expect another big night for him. The same can be said for Holiday, who struggled in that game as he was working his way back from another tweak of his ankle but should be able to use his strength against guards like Ayo Dosunmu.

Hopefully, these two teams can have a game where they’re both at nearly full health at some point, because it would be a lot of fun to really get this rivalry going again.
