No. 3 – The Milwaukee Bucks looking to get healthy down the stretch

If there’s one thing that certainly hasn’t gone in favor of the Milwaukee Bucks so far this season, it has been their health.

The team has not had their entire roster available for as little as a single game this season. It seems that every time Milwaukee gets one player back, they lose another one or two players. The starting lineup and bench rotations have been all over the place because of either injuries or the COVID health and safety protocols that torched the locker room in December and early January.

Milwaukee has been without Brook Lopez, their starting center, for every game since opening night. After initially taking it on as a day-to-day issue, Lopez ultimately had to have surgery on the back injury that ailed him after the team’s first game and has since been recovering.

There has been some positive news recently for Lopez though. Lopez has been cleared to practice five-on-five, which could mean that his return will come sometime in the next few weeks.

Another player that the team looks to get back around playoff time will be Pat Connaughton. Connaughton has been out since February 10th with a hand injury.

Connaughton has been huge for the Bucks the last couple of seasons. After fans initially were skeptical about the contract that he signed before last season, Connaughton proved worth it and came through when the team needed him the most in the playoffs last season. Getting Playoff Pat back in time for a run will be huge for making a march towards another championship.

The Bucks still have 18 games before the playoffs begin and there will be a lot to watch for as the team continues their quest for a championship repeat.
