Khris Middleton clocked in his best performance with the Milwaukee Bucks this season thanks to an insanely clutch outing

While Ibaka and Holiday were both stellar against the Suns, Khris Middleton’s performance was certainly the biggest storyline of the day for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Middleton had it going throughout the first half as he scored 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor, tied with Giannis Antetokounmpo for the most points scored on the team. With Holiday struggling as mightily as he did in the first half, Middleton took it upon himself to deliver over the first 24 minutes to keep this game close. While he was great throughout the first half, Middleton undoubtedly turned things up a notch in the final two quarters, particularly the fourth.

After scoring 11 points in the third quarter, Middleton simply erupted in the final period by scoring 16 points on 6-of-10 field goal shooting, including 2-of-3 from deep. With Antetokounmpo on the sidelines for a good portion of the period due to foul trouble, Middleton and Holiday each stepped up to deliver late. Middleton cemented the win for Milwaukee by hitting a turnaround jumper and then a 3-pointer in the closing moments to cap off his phenomenal game.

In total, Middleton finished with 44 points on 16-of-27 shooting, including 5-of-9 from 3-point territory, while also shooting a perfect 7-of-7 from the stripe. Middleton’s 16 made field goals are the most he has tallied in a game this season, and his five made 3-pointers are his most since he hit five on January 22 against the Sacramento Kings. With eight rebounds and five assists added to his total, it was an all-around stellar outing for  Khris Middleton.

Hopefully this performance can help Middleton establish some momentum as the Bucks face a tough stretch ahead.

Middleton and the Bucks will be back in action Tuesday as they take on the OKC Thunder, and be sure to catch the action at 7:00 p.m. CST on Bally Sports Wisconsin.
