The Milwaukee Bucks need to dominate on offense against a Draymond Green-less Warriors team

The difference in how the Warriors have defended this season with-and-without Green has been astonishing. At the beginning of the season, they were easily the best defense in the league and that led to a lot of their offense.

Since January 11th, the Warriors are 13th in defensive rating at 111.0. That’s still good, but a far cry from where they were to begin the season.

And in a matchup against Giannis Antetokounmpo, Green’s absence is sorely missed.

Antetokounmpo dropped 30 points on 67.3 percent true shooting to go along with 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Oh, and three blocks. All in around 30 minutes. The Warriors have no one who has a hope of containing Antetokounmpo when he has the ball (he went 11-of-15 on 2-point attempts in that game).

He’s also on a tear lately, posting 82 points total in his last two games and this will be another high-profile opponent for him to make his late push for a third Most Valuable Player award.

The attention that Antetokounmpo draws will lead to others getting good looks as we saw in the last game. Bobby Portis and Grayson Allen combined for 35 points and 7-of-14 from 3-point range. Heck, even Matthews knocked down multiple 3s in that game (it was also the last game he hit multiple 3s in a game).

Khris Middleton also chipped in with an ultra-efficient 23 points on 78 percent true shooting and seven assists as well. Add in Holiday being back for this one and the league’s best offense should have another very good night at the office.
