Jrue Holiday and Giannis Antetokounmpo took over for the Milwaukee Bucks in a back-and-forth fourth quarter to cement the victory

Despite yet another subpar third-quarter showing, the Bucks managed to trail by only four points entering the final period. With the game hanging in the balance, both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday stepped up with some clutch heroics to end Milwaukee’s losing streak in Utah.

In what has become the new normal this year, Holiday was sensational over the final 12 minutes, all of which he played. The guard scored 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe, hitting an array of tough jumpers while being rewarded with several trips to the line for his aggressiveness. Not only was he hitting difficult shots left and right, but Holiday did everything to help the Bucks win this one by also tallying two rebounds, an assist, and two steals in the fourth quarter. Unsurprisingly, he finished with a +10 in the period, the highest mark on the Bucks.

In total, Holiday tallied 29 points, four rebounds, seven assists, and a season-high five steals in a tick under 37 minutes played.

Antetokounmpo followed Holiday with 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting, including a perfect 3-of-3 from the free throw line in 10 minutes. The Greek Freak endured his share of struggles during the game as he was pestered by Utah’s towering big men, but he turned things around as he went at Rudy Gobert, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, multiple times. Also grabbing eight boards in the fourth, Antetokounmpo nearly had a double-double in the period, as he made his presence felt on the glass throughout.

Overall, Antetokounmpo finished with 30 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and one steal in just 34 minutes to cap off another MVP-caliber performance.
