Grayson Allen has often been found in the spotlight throughout his ongoing playing career at the collegiate level and in the NBA. Following a successful run at the University of Duke from 2014 to 2018 that saw him win the 2015 National Championship, Allen has carved out a legitimate role in the NBA, currently suiting up for the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks. Allen has had his best season as a professional with the Bucks as he has played the most prominent role in his career.

While Allen has quite the reputation on the court, not much is known about the 26-year-old’s life when he is not knocking down his 3-pointers for the Bucks. Whistle recently shed some light on Allen’s personal life as he and fiancé Morgan Reid, a fellow former Duke athlete and professional soccer player, appeared on the latest episode of ‘Home Team,’ a series that follows celebrity and athlete couples. The series helps viewers get to understand the couples better while also testing the pair to see how well they truly know each other.

Certainly one of the most interesting pieces from the segment was the pair’s recollection of the 2015 National Championship game that Allen played a key role in. Reid was tasked with naming which team Allen played against in that game and what the final score was. Of course, the team Allen and the Blue Devils defeated was the Wisconsin Badgers with a final score of 68-63. When Allen first was traded to the Bucks, there were some fans that held some animosity towards the guard for this, as Reid alluded to while she got the answer correct.

"“You played Wisconsin. I was there in the front row, and you won 68-63. People here didn’t like you when we first moved here because you beat Wisconsin and now we live in Wisconsin, and now they’re slowly becoming fans because you’re very good at basketball.”"

Allen’s vital contributions to the Milwaukee Bucks this season have certainly helped lessen the bitterness from some Wisconsinites across the state this season.

Other notable segments from the short episode include Allen having to guess Reid’s biggest fear, Reid having to figure out what Allen would be doing if he was not a professional basketball player, and a competitive game of P.I.G. between the pair. As mentioned previously, Allen is oftentimes a player to keep to himself off the floor, so seeing him and Reid dive deep into their personal life was very informative in the show’s second episode. For Bucks fans looking to get more in tune with the team’s new shooting guard or those wanting to know more about Reid’s playing career, this is the perfect opportunity to get some insight.

Whistle also announced that the couple got engaged shortly after filming wrapped, so congrats to Allen and Reid!
