Grading Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics Game 2: Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics: A

Similar to Chicago, Boston came out in Game 2 looking like a different team, the Celtics got off to a hot start and never looked back. Credit to the Celtics, they played about as nearly perfect of an offensive game as you could ask for, after making 18-of-50 3-pointers in Game 1 Boston made 20-of-43 in Game 2.

Jaylen Brown had a near-flawless first half, scoring 25 of his 30 while making all five 3-point shots he attempted. Brown had a much quieter second half but the lead remained double digits for the rest of the contest anyway.

Jayson Tatum is the other bounce-back player for Boston, it shouldn’t have been expected by Bucks fans that Tatum would have two poor shooting games in a row. Tatum scored 29 points and at times it seemed the tighter the defense on him was, the higher the chances of his shot going in.

The other big boost Boston got was from their sixth man Grant Williams, he scored 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting and made 6-of-9 threes.

All in all, Boston played as good of a game as they’re capable of and finished with a split in the first two games of this series, there are plenty of adjustments to be made for the Bucks as they come home for Game 3 on Saturday looking to take the series lead.
