3 Keys for the Milwaukee Bucks to Win Game 5: Spread the Ball

The Milwaukee Bucks have won two games with 22 and 20 assists, the Bucks have also lost two games with just 18 and 16 assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday have tons and tons of attention on them, they know that and often talk about trusting their teammates. They need to do just that, trust guys like Pat Connaughton and Grayson Allen to hit their open shots, trust guys like Bobby Portis and Brook Lopez to score around the rim and exploit mismatches.

Spreading the ball can help get some guys going, like Connaughton who hit some tough shots and has great shooting splits so far this series. In the first four games of the series, Connaughton is 17-for-31 on field goals (54.8 percent) and 9-for-20 behind the 3-point line (45 percent). Giannis can drive and kick and trust Connaughton to knock down his open looks.

Allen has shown he’s capable of big scoring outbursts, he showed it during the Chicago series and spent a good amount of time in the starting lineup during the regular season. Allen needs to be aggressive in hunting his shot.

Lopez came on strong offensively in Game 4, scoring 17 points, 10 of which came in the fourth quarter. The Bucks can use Lopez offensively to get some points in the paint to help take some pressure off Giannis and Jrue.
