Grades from Milwaukee Bucks Season Ending Loss to Boston: Celtics

Credit to the Boston Celtics, their role players stepped up in major ways, none more important than game 7’s leading scorer Grant Williams, who scored 27 points mainly by way of the 3-point shot. Williams took 18 threes and made seven. Payton Pritchard scored a quick and efficient 14 points, making 5-of-7 shots, including 4-of-6 threes, also adding five rebounds and three assists in just 17 minutes of action.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown both shot 50 percent from the field, Tatum scored 23 points and made five 3-pointers to go with six rebounds, eight assists and seven turnovers. Brown scored 19 points, also had eight assists and did so without committing a turnover.

Marcus Smart and Al Horford weren’t the most efficient pair, combining for 17 points on 4-of-16 shooting, but the two also combined for 17 rebounds and 16 assists in the series-clinching win.

Ultimately, the Boston Celtics had more steam and got much more reliable contributions from their role players in this series and it proved to be the difference in game 7. The Celtics are moving on and the Bucks are beginning their off-season.
