Jarred Vanderbilt could be an underrated trade target for the Milwaukee Bucks

Jarred Vanderbilt is another name that has not been mentioned in a lot of trade talks, given that he seems to be a key piece for the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, if the Milwaukee Bucks could get their hands on him, it would be a scary sight for opposing teams on a nightly basis.

Vanderbilt is still young, and he just had a breakout season on the defensive end for Minnesota. He averaged career highs in points, rebounds, and steals this season, and offered at times dominant stretches of rim protection for the Timberwolves. Vanderbilt is sitting on a three-year deal worth a relatively affordable $13 million, which has him under contract for the next few seasons. While the Bucks do not have the most desirable assets, this contract is definitely something they can work with. However, once again, they would have to be flexible to make this work.

Adding the ferocious defense of Jarred Vanderbilt into an already stable rotation with top-notch defenders such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday would take so much pressure off certain players and allow them to play to their strengths more. Vanderbilt could be a huge piece to Milwaukee’s title aspirations next year if they were to acquire him.
