Joe Ingles could be a free agent target for the Milwaukee Bucks

During his rookie season with the Utah Jazz, Grayson Allen spent plenty of time playing alongside Joe Ingles, a well-established veteran in this league. Although Ingles is coming off an ACL tear that he suffered this past season, the 34-year-old could be a low-risk, high-reward free agent target for the Milwaukee Bucks to inquire about.

Throughout his eight-year career with the Jazz, Ingles was a quality rotational player, most known for his offense. The forward has been an outstanding 3-point shooter in his career, having buried a sensational 40.8 percent of his triples on 4.4 attempts per game. That prolific shooting has helped him average 8.6 points per contest in that same timeframe. While everyone knows that Ingles can shoot the lights out, an underrated aspect of his game is his passing and playmaking ability, as he has averaged 3.8 assists per game in his career. When healthy, Ingles could be a perfect fit on this Milwaukee roster, giving them a versatile forward that can shoot and facilitate at a high level.

Given that he is coming off an ACL injury, Ingles will likely be well within Milwaukee’s price range in free agency. The forward may look to sign a “prove it” deal as he rehabs from his injury, and even if he is not the same player he was prior to the injury, bringing him in would be a justifiable move for the Bucks. Considering that this is an ACL injury, there are questions as to whether Ingles could be back next season, but the Bucks should be willing to take the risk if they have a legitimate shot of inking his signature in free agency.
