3 Milwaukee Bucks’ free agent targets with ties to Grayson Allen

Kyle Anderson could be a free agent target for the Milwaukee Bucks

Circling back to Grayson Allen’s days with the Memphis Grizzlies, Kyle Anderson is a notable player that he suited up alongside. The forward has been a key rotational piece in Memphis for these last few years, and there will be several teams across the league lining up to try and sign him once free agency officially begins. Among those teams should be the Milwaukee Bucks, though it does seem like somewhat of a longshot.

Adding Anderson would immediately help improve Milwaukee’s versatility, given that the veteran can play either forward position at a high level. When the Bucks go to their small ball lineups, the 6-foot-9 Anderson could line up at the power forward position while Giannis Antetokounmpo is at center. Adding a small ball four is something the Bucks need to prioritize this coming offseason, and adding Anderson would fit the billing in that regard. The veteran has never put up the flashiest numbers in his eight-year career – having averaged 6.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists – but he could have a large impact off Milwaukee’s bench due to his scoring ability and quality defense while also improving their roster versatility.

The tricky part with Anderson is the financial aspect, given that there will be plenty of other teams looking to lure him away from Memphis this offseason that have far more spending money than a team like Milwaukee. Nevertheless, that should not stop general manager Jon Horst from trying to get Anderson on this roster, as he would be a significant addition that would help fix some of the Bucks’ most prominent flaws. Grayson Allen should attempt to do some quality recruiting as well, as it may not hurt at the very least.
