Trade Down Candidates for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2022 NBA Draft

If Milwaukee trades down, here are some potential second round options.

Keon Ellis (Wing – Alabama)

Ht: 6’6″ | Wt: 170 lbs | 44/37/88 shooting

Great shooter and lockdown defender who looks like he has a solid floor as a 3-and-D wing. He doesn’t do much else well and is already 22 years old so his upside is limited (hence why he is a projected 2nd round pick), but he fits the needs of the modern NBA and could make an impact right away for the Bucks.

Andrew Nembhard (Guard – Gonzaga)

Ht: 6’5″ | Wt: 195 lbs | 45/38/87 shooting

Another guy who is already 22 years old and doesn’t have a high ceiling, but Nembhard can do a lot of things well and be a nice backup ball handler for the Bucks. He’s a really nice floor general and can score from all three levels while also bringing good on-ball defense. Would be a good value if the Bucks could trade back and draft him as a backup point guard option.

Gabriele Procida (Wing – Italy)

Ht: 6’7″ | Wt: 215 lbs | 52/38/78 shooting

Good shooter who possesses a lot of athleticism and has the tools to be a nice 3&D wing. He has to get stronger and improve his offensive game a bit, but he can shoot it from the outside and stay in front guys defensively. Good 2nd round value.

Justin Lewis (Forward – Marquette)

Ht: 6’7″ | Wt: 235 lbs | 44/35/76 shooting

Athletic and versatile forward who is smooth offensively with the ability to shoot and also use his physicality, and he is versatile defensively with his size and length. He hasn’t shown a ton of consistency on either end, but definitely is capable of being a solid two-way player at the next level that could help the Bucks.

Jabari Walker (Forward – Colorado)

Ht: 6’8 | Wt: 215 lbs | 46/35/78 shooting

Very good defender who can guard multiple positions and has great length and athleticism. He can also shoot it well and is good out of the post and in transition. He doesn’t have a lot of offensive shot creation upside, but his defense and shooting should be enough for him to have a role in the league.

Jamaree Bouyea (Guard – San Francisco)

Ht: 6’2″ | Wt: 180 lbs | 47/37/76 shooting

Could give the Bucks a little bit of everything as a backup point guard. He scores, shoots, handles the ball, passes, and plays solid defense. He is slightly undersized and this would be a boring pick without much upside, but Bouyea can do what the Bucks need out of a backup point guard, and he would be good value in the 2nd round.

Max Christie (Wing – Michigan State)

Ht: 6’6″ | Wt: 190 lbs | 38/32/82 shooting

Good defender with his length, and he projects well as a shooter despite not having the best shooting numbers in college. He could become a nice 3-and-D player and potentially even more because he has some shot creation upside, but he needs time to become stronger and a better finisher around the rim.
