Malik Monk could be a target for the Milwaukee Bucks in NBA free agency

Considering that Malik Monk just had the most productive season of his young career on a bargain bin contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, he could be the most unrealistic target on this entire list. However, that should not stop the Milwaukee Bucks from at least kicking the tires on bringing him aboard, as the 24-year-old guard could be just what this team currently needs.

Monk did not come into the league as a shooter, as he struggled with the long ball throughout his first three seasons. However, over the past two years, the guard has been a phenomenal shooter, having knocked down 39.4 percent of his triples on 5.5 attempts per game. In addition to being an impressive long distance shooter, Monk has been a quality scoring threat during that same frame as he has averaged 13 points per contest. It is no secret that bench scoring was a prominent flaw for the Bucks throughout the 2021-22 campaign, so adding a lethal scorer like Monk would be an easy fix to help patch that flaw, giving Milwaukee the boost they need offensively.

As mentioned previously, Monk is coming off the best season of his NBA career in a year where he made $1.8 million, so no one could fault him for potentially seeking a well-earned raise. That could vault him out of Milwaukee’s price range, as opposing teams could undoubtedly offer more, but pursuing him should still be on the table for the Milwaukee Bucks.
