Milwaukee Bucks one of many teams that struggled to find talent in the 2015 NBA Draft

The entire 2015 draft has to go down as one of the strangest drafts in NBA history. The top 20 is littered with guys who either aren’t in the NBA anymore or are barely making the end of the bench. Contributing to this chaos were the Bucks who selected Rashad Vaughn with the 17th pick. Vaughn was drafted to be a shooter, in 133 games with the Milwaukee Bucks, he shot 31.2 percent on 3-pointers.

To be fair, looking at the quality of players selected after him, Rashad Vaughn’s lackluster NBA career doesn’t hit as hard as DJ Wilson, who had a slew of guys I’d love to be rostered on the Bucks drafted after him. Most notable were Delon Wright, Tyus Jones, Kevon Looney, and Larry Nance Jr. Although I would rather have all of these guys than Vaughn, I am not loosing too much sleep over it.

What I AM losing sleep over is the fact that Norman Powell is not a Milwaukee Buck because someone decided he and a 2017 first round pick were worth Greivis Vásquez. Powell has blossomed into a quality NBA player that was partially responsible for the Raptors beating the Bucks in 2019, while Vásquez no longer plays basketball. That really really hurts.

Noteworthy Players the Bucks Passed On:

  • Norman Powell, noted Milwaukee Bucks killer
  • Current Buck (hopefully still) Bobby Portis
  • Montrezl Harrell
  • Current Buck Pat Connaughton
