Potential replacement for Bobby Portis if he leaves the Milwaukee Bucks: Isaiah Hartenstein

While the previous two guys on the list are smaller and more wing oriented than Portis, Isaiah Hartenstein could provide the Bucks with an extra option in the center department. Over the last two seasons, Hartenstein has broken out as a solid backup center who can provide quality minutes off the bench. He has shown good instincts as a drop defender, and while he has not taken many threes, he hit them at a 47% clip last season, showcasing some shooting potential.

The biggest area in which I believe Hartenstein can help the Bucks is his passing. While the Bucks possess a few good passers, they ranked 28th last season in percentage of field goals made that were assisted. Last year, Hartenstein averaged around 5 assists per 36, a high number for any guy, but especially a center. While Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis are both excellent offensive players, they are not really known for their passing. The Bucks could use a big who can operate as a passing hub to unlock some of the cutting ability the team possesses.

Just like the other guys in this list, Hartenstein would not be a perfect replacement in terms of what Portis provides to the team. Still, if Portis were to move on, the Bucks would need someone to replicate his size. With his passing juice and upside as a shooter, Hartenstein would be an excellent option for the Bucks to look into.
