3 under-the-radar free agents to pursue for Milwaukee Bucks – 2. Jarrett Culver

Another potential free agent signing for the Milwaukee Bucks could be Jarrett Culver. After the Memphis Grizzlies declined his $8.1 million team option for next season, Culver will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The former lottery pick has had an abysmal start to his NBA career. Culver was the sixth pick in the 2019 NBA Draft but has been way too inefficient on both ends of the floor across his first three seasons.

However, he’s still just 23 years old and the talent that the world saw on the NCAA’s biggest stage when leading Texas Tech to the National Championship Game hasn’t gone away. If the Bucks took a flyer on Culver, he’d have the chance to learn under magnificent role models such as Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and other veteran leaders and developmental coaches.

Maybe Milwaukee could unlock some of that raw talent that still needs tweaking at the NBA level. There’s no chance that Jarrett Culver would crack the rotation on a title-contending team, but he could be worth betting on with a minimum contract if there’s an open roster spot. Besides, the Milwaukee Bucks should already be stacked with depth if everything goes to plan and could benefit from getting younger too.
