The Milwaukee Bucks could pursue free agent DeMarcus Cousins

Sticking with the center position, another option for the Milwaukee Bucks is DeMarcus Cousins, who has some familiarity with the franchise. Of course, Cousins spent a portion of last season in Milwaukee to fill in for Brook Lopez before he was waived in January. Cousins played well during his limited time with the Bucks, and despite previously letting him go, they could look to add him to this roster once again to shore up their center depth.

Although a series of unfortunate injuries have taken a toll on Cousins over the past few seasons, he showed last year that he could still be a quality contributor. In 48 contests with the Bucks and the Denver Nuggets, the center posted averages of nine points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in a reduced role, having played 15 minutes per game. Despite his struggles on the defensive side of the basketball, Cousins could be a justifiable addition to this Milwaukee roster, giving them depth at the center position while also adding more toughness, physicality, and veteran experience.

Despite playing some solid basketball with Denver to finish out last season, Cousins will not be in the market for a raise in free agency. It appears that he will be on the move as well after the team recently signed a different backup center in DeAndre Jordan. If so, bringing Cousins back would be an understandable move for the Bucks, given that they can snag him for the minimum. This would be more of a move to add some depth, and there are few names out there better than Cousins for the Milwaukee Bucks to pursue in that regard.
