What Pat Connaughton’s injury means for the Milwaukee Bucks: Time for Jordan Nwora to show what he’s made of

Jordan Nwora was a second round draft pick back in 2020, Nwora generally has been most valuable as an occasional spot starter during games where either regular starters are getting rest, or in the case of the 2021-22 season, a player like Khris Middleton missing some time.

Jordan Nwora already figured to get some extra minutes to start the season with Khris Middleton likely to miss a bit of the beginning of the season with his wrist injury. Now with an injury to one of Middleton’s backups in Connaughton, Jordan Nwora has a massive opportunity to prove himself.

Jordan Nwora has looked very good at times and he’s looked like he should only play during blowouts, Nwora needs to show the Milwaukee Bucks that he is more than just a prospect and a project. Now is the time for Nwora to put it all together and play up to his potential.

Nwora made 13 starts for the Bucks last year and could very well find himself starting at small forward to begin the season. Nwora was signed to a two year deal before training camp, Nwora could begin earning his next contract by coming out hot to start the year for the Bucks.
