Outlook for the Milwaukee Bucks through 15 games
The Bucks have definitely cooled off after their 9-0 start, and there are some areas they will need to improve going forward. But the main issue right now is simply health, and once players like Khris Middleton and Pat Connaughton return, they should continue to be very good.
The offense has been inconsistent and inefficient, but getting healthy will take care of that, and the more important thing is that they look fantastic defensively. Brook Lopez has made a massive difference for them on that end, and with the improved three-point defense, there is little reason to believe they can’t be an elite defense all season long.
Giannis’ struggles as a shooter are disappointing but not extremely surprising, and if anyone is going to put the work in to get better, it’s Giannis. He has never given us any reason not to believe in him or be concerned about him, so don’t be.
Overall, if you were told before the season that the Bucks would be 11-4 in their first 15 games with all of the injuries they have, that would have sounded fantastic. They look like they will once again be one of the top contenders in the entire league, and at full health, should have quite a bit of depth.
Their only major issues can be solved by getting healthy and the best player in the world playing more like he usually does, and that’s a pretty good position to be in. The Bucks are looking good in the long run.
