Milwaukee Bucks Milestones reached: Brook Lopez

Brook Lopez is having a fantastic comeback season, leading the NBA in blocks while also shooting a career high 40.3 percent on 3-point shots so far this season. Brook Lopez to has reached some career and franchise milestones through the Bucks’ first 26 games.

Brook Lopez against the Mavericks in Dallas Friday night reached 1,600 career blocks, now at 1,603 he sits at #34 in the NBA all-time ranks. Lopez has blocked 533 shots as a Milwaukee Buck and earlier this season against the Philadelphia 76ers passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for sixth most in franchise history.

As for his 3-point shooting, Brook Lopez made his 700th career 3-point shot, an extremely impressive number considering he didn’t shoot more than 15 attempts in an entire season until he was already 28 years old! Brook Lopez’s 700th career 3-point make came against the Los Angeles Lakers who were in Milwaukee just over a week ago.

Milwaukee Bucks milestones to watch: Brook Lopez

Brook Lopez may be nearing 35 and will turn another year older before the end of this regular season but you wouldn’t guess that by watching him play this season. Brook Lopez is currently averaging 2.9 blocks per game, leading the NBA. Lopez has recorded 73 blocks in 26 games putting him on pace to block approximately 226 shots this season, an absurd total that would blow his career high (179 in his first season with the Bucks) out of the water by nearly 50! Lopez needs to block three more shots to move to #33 all-time, 29 to pass Vlade Divac for #32 all-time.

In Milwaukee Bucks franchise history Brook Lopez needs to block 53 more shots to move past Ervin Johnson for sixth and 67 to pass John Henson for fifth.

Brook Lopez also trails Giannis Antetokounmpo by just six made 3-point shots in Bucks history and it will be a race to pass Glenn Robinson between the two (my money is on Lopez).

For his career, Brook Lopez can hope to reach the same milestone Giannis Antetokounmpo just passed, 15,000 points. Lopez needs to score 389 more points to reach 15K for his career.
