How can Milwaukee Bucks rookie MarJon Beauchamp ensure he continues outperforming others in the rookie class?

MarJon Beauchamp has certainly outperformed his draft position for the Milwaukee Bucks, however, he is far from a finished product and has room to improve. Beauchamp needs to work on his defensive skills a bit yet, he has the athleticism and ability to be a good defender but uses his hands on defense a lot which has gotten him called for a lot of fouls as evidenced by the fact that per 36 minutes, he averages 4.1 fouls. The Bucks coaching staff has also been working with Beauchamp on learning how to play team defense in the Milwaukee Bucks system, there is no doubt that as the season goes on Beauchamp will improve defensively and earn more playing time.

Offensively, not many complaints, MarJon is showing that he is a capable scorer at times but as always, there is room for improvement. One area that nearly every player on the Bucks could stand to improve his ball handling, but another thing for Beauchamp to improve is his shot selection at times. Beauchamp played pretty well against the New York Knicks last night but took a couple of shots on possessions the Bucks may have gotten better shots on had the ball been moved around more. Again, no doubt that Beauchamp will continue to learn and improve and continue to outperform other rookies in his draft class, even those selected in the lottery.
