Where is MarJon Beauchamp in his development: Resume to date

So far this season MarJon Beauchamp has played some pretty solid games, so I understand the frustration of Jordan Nwora getting more playing time, however as previously stated I believe this to be temporary.

MarJon Beauchamp has overall played well, leading to a lot of the displeasure about his lack of playing time. Beauchamp has even outplayed several lottery picks from the 2022 NBA Draft, that said the Bucks’ rookie doesn’t necessarily have a claim to be playing heavy minutes for a team with championship aspirations.

MarJon Beauchamp through 47 games has played in 33, having missed some time with a non-covid illness that caused him to lose some weight and costed him a couple weeks of playing time. In those 33 games Beauchamp has made nine starts and according to NBA.com is averaging 15.3 minutes per game. In my opinion, the perfect amount for a developing rookie prospect to be playing on a nightly basis.

Beauchamp is averaging 6.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, shooting 39.9 percent from the field, 32.7 percent from behind the 3-point line and 72.0 percent from the free throw line. Certainly some growth opportunity in MarJon’s shooting efficiency.

As for his offensive and defensive rating, according to basketball-reference, MarJon Beauchamp currently holds a 99 offensive rating and a 115 defensive rating. To use Jrue Holiday as a measuring stick, Jrue currently holds a 116 offensive rating and 111 defensive rating.
