3 Best individual Bucks performances of the 2022-23 regular season – 21, can you do somethin’ for me?: 03-29-2023

Jrue Holiday has had another exceptional season in a Bucks jersey, carrying the offensive load on plenty of occasions with Giannis and Khris Middleton both missing time. Now this performance in the 149-136 win over the Indiana Pacers was arguably the best of his career.

A career-high 51 points in just 32 minutes was unbelievable to witness, but that wasn’t the only great work he did in the game, having added eight assists and eight rebounds to his name then showing up defensively and registering a block and a steal to top it all off.

Sometimes with players scoring a high number of points, efficiency can be lacking, but with Holiday, that was not the case. Hitting 20 of his 30 shots from the field (66.7 percent) and 50 percent from deep with a strong 80 percent from the line showed how great a performance it was by 21.

One of my favorite plays of the game from him was just before the end of the first half with the Bucks up two. Holiday brings the ball up the court, and a little turn of pace sees three Pacers defenders anticipate a drive but are fooled by his quick step-back, and he calmly drained the three. It was a performance where he showed his physicality and bullied a lot in the paint; no matter who was guarding him, he got the shots to fall despite taking on the biggest of the Pacers’ defenders.

It was the standout performance of his second All-Star season, and he deserved all the plaudits. His leadership and impact throughout the year with so many injuries cannot be forgotten, and we can’t wait to see him in action during the playoffs.
