3 Milwaukee Bucks who rose to the occasion in Game 2 vs. Miami Heat
By Corey Moen
3 – Jrue Holiday
Jrue Holiday’s play for the Milwaukee Bucks will be key for this entire series.
Coming off a Game 1 clunker in which he had 16 points on 6-of-18 shooting, Holiday had to have a more efficient Game 2 performance, and he did.
Holiday scored 24 points, on 10-of-19 shooting. Holiday also had 11 assists, which is an overlooked aspect of his game because he is a guy who will make the extra pass to set up his teammates.
Holiday assisted on six of Milwaukee’s 25 made threes, which shows that if Holiday can score with efficiency and have high-assist totals this is a lethal team.
No doubt that without Giannis on the floor, Milwaukee needed Holiday to step up, but what made him lethal in Game 2?
Outside of the assists, Holiday got loose a couple of times for open threes in the second quarter, but more so used his quickness against Max Strus and Kyle Lowry to get to the basket.
Holiday, for the rest of this series, can take advantage of Miami’s guards because the 3-pointers and the cuts to the basket will be open because Miami has tended to have lapses defensively.
Jrue Holiday needs to have a replicated performance in Game 3 if the Milwaukee Bucks hope to steal one on the road in Miami.
