1. Los Angeles Lakers

Considering Anthony Davis’s distaste for playing center, it would not surprise us to see them go and target Lopez this off-season with the $29 million in cap space they are projected to have. While Davis sucked it up and played down low for the majority of this season, he more likely than not would be overjoyed to go back to playing power forward.

In addition to this, Lopez already has a previously established connection with the Lakers, as he played for the team during the 2017-18 season. While pairing Lopez down low with Davis may not be the most conventional decision, it certainly seems like a Lakers kind of move, especially if free agents this off-season opt to go elsewhere and they get desperate.

A defensive core of Lopez, Davis, and Jared Vanderbilt would likely be amongst the best in the league, not to mention the much-needed three-point shooting and versatile offense Lopez would bring to the table for the Lakers.

In all reality, Lopez is very likely resigning with the Bucks this off-season. Not only is he too valuable to the Bucks’ aspirations for a championship, but he has also formed a very strong connection with the city since joining the team. Despite this, you never truly know what a player’s off-season plans are until the news is broken.
