Milwaukee Bucks’ target No. 3 – Royce O’Neale, Brooklyn Nets

The first non-point guard on this list is Royce O’Neale of the Brooklyn Nets. If cut before July 10, just $2.5 million of O’Neale’s $9.5 million will be guaranteed for the 2023-24 NBA season. While the Nets very well may keep O’Neale around, the Bucks should look to add him in the event that he does hit free agency, as the forward checks off several boxes for Milwaukee in their quest to improve the roster this off-season.

First and foremost, O’Neale is a wing. While he’s not the lengthiest at 6-foot-4, he’s proven to be very versatile, especially when it comes to defending multiple positions defensively. Milwaukee is in need of more switchable wing defenders, and O’Neale fits the billing. With the futures of both Jae Crowder and Wesley Matthews up in the air, the Bucks need to strengthen their defense on the wing. Offensively, O’Neale has been an excellent outside shooter, having shot 38.4 percent throughout his NBA career.

O’Neale is the type of hard-working player that every contender would love to get their hands on, so Milwaukee would certainly not be alone in their potential pursuit.
