Milwaukee Bucks’ wing targets in 2023 NBA Free Agency – Lonnie Walker IV

A younger wing the Bucks should target is 24-year-old Lonnie Walker IV. With Jevon Carter declining his player option, Walker would be able to play both the guard position if needed and also play on the wing.

With the LA Lakers, Walker averaged 11.7 points on 45 percent shooting and hitting 1.6 threes per game. Being younger than the other targets may mean he costs slightly more following his 1-year $6.4m deal in LA, but if given the opportunity to be on a contender, he may be willing to go slightly lower. It is a known fact the Bucks don’t have money to spend, so this may be tough if they are also looking to add other pieces in different positions.

In the playoffs, Walker scored 15 points in Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors in a comeback victory for the Lakers. In a game with both LeBron James and Steph Curry on the court, being the difference maker shows huge signs of the level Walker can play at, and doing it under the pressure of the playoffs is promising.

The Bucks should make a move for Walker as they look to make the roster younger, but he also has so much game time under his belt that he can play meaningful games for Milwaukee.

These are just three targets for the Bucks, and it will be interesting who they look to add to their roster.
