B/R’s Trade Targets for the Milwaukee Bucks – Jalen Suggs

The final trade target is an interesting one that we here on BTBP have previously in the form of a potential trade for Jalen Suggs. He was a former top-five pick who was highly touted when he came out of Gonzaga and another young piece that could be added to the Bucks’ roster.

He would be another ball handler for the team and would be a great heir to take over from Jrue Holiday were he to retire or move on from the Bucks. Last season, he averaged 9.9 points with three rebounds and three assists.

This trade would by far be the most difficult of the three, as Suggs is only two seasons into his career and has shown glimpses of real quality. At 22, the Orlando Magic would be looking at draft picks in return, and the Bucks do not have the assets to give up for what the Magic are likely to ask for. He also hasn’t been able to stay healthy, which is another reason the Magic will want to remain patient with Suggs.

This trade would also be riskier than the others as both Burks and McConnell are proven players, and Suggs still has question marks regarding him.

BTBP Verdict: Pass

For me, this is a pass. The Bucks would have to give up an awful lot as they do not have the assets that the Magic would likely want for a third-year player who is still just 22 years old. He would fill the void as a backup point guard, but there are more experienced and proven players available for cheaper should they look to make a move.
