No. 4 – Hiring Head Coach Adrian Griffin

Obviously, the jury is still very much out on this one, as not only has Adrian Griffin not coached an official game as the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, but he’s never been a head coach ever in the NBA. This is Griffin’s first shot, but even before coaching a game, Griffin seems to be doing all of the right things, and the players seem bought into what he’s saying.

In particular, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Griffin seem to be building a good relationship since the latter’s arrival in Milwaukee. It never hurts to keep the franchise superstar happy, but Griffin being this high on the list goes beyond that. As a former player, he seems like someone the team is all-in on, as they can relate to what he is saying and trying to do on a nightly basis.

Although fans will always appreciate Mike Budenholzer helping this team win a title back in 2021, it was time for the Bucks to get a new voice up top. The team needed some fresh ideas after they ran into some of the same problems year in a year out in the Mike Budenholzer era. It was never all Budenholzer’s fault when the Bucks fell short, but he played his part, just like when they won.

The Griffin era is off to a great start, and let’s hope it only gets better from here.
