No. 1 – Trading for Damian Lillard

The best deal of the off-season for the Milwaukee Bucks was also the most surprising. Out of the blue, the Bucks acquired Damian Lillard in a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns. It’s truly still hard to believe that Lillard, a seven-time All-Star and top-75 player, will be playing in a Milwaukee Bucks jersey this NBA season.

With no disrespect whatsoever to Khris Middleton, Damian Lillard will be the best offensive player Giannis Antetokounmpo has ever played with. Lillard, coming off a season where he averaged 32.2 points per contest, is an incredible scorer, able to put it in the basket from anywhere on the floor, especially from behind the 3-point line.  That type of scoring could be just what this team needs.

Lillard and Antetokounmpo will be a lethal two-man pairing, but as mentioned previously, it’s not too controversial to say that Middleton will benefit from this move as well, as he will get his share of open looks nightly as the third option. This group has the potential to be incredibly special if the Big 3 can mesh as seamlessly as everyone ultimately thinks they will.

Fans cannot wait to see Lillard on the court for the Bucks, especially with the other key pieces.
