No. 2 – The young Bucks looking to earn minutes

The Bucks made it clear that they heard fans clamoring for the team to infuse some youth into the rotation this coming season, as they went out and stocked up on young players this off-season. In addition to getting to keep MarJon Beauchamp in the Lillard trade, the team also drafted a pair of players in Andre Jackson Jr. and Chris Livingston. All three can help, but they need the opportunity.

Throughout the first three preseason games, their time has not been as bountiful as many hoped. Beauchamp is making his presence felt in his 21.5 minutes per game – the sixth most on the team. The other two have not been on the court quite as much, with Jackson clocking 13.6 minutes per contest – 15th on the team – and Livingston getting eight per game – 17th on the team.

It would be nice to see more of these three, mainly Jackson and Livingston, during these final two games to see what the team may have in them. The Bucks are still in the hunt for a player to be a bigger wing defender for them, and they should see if either of these 6-foot-6, extremely athletic wings are up for the challenge.

Both have shown glimpses of potential throughout their limited preseason action, making things happen on both sides of the ball. So far, they’re just what fans had in mind when they asked the front office to get some youth on this roster. It’s not too controversial to say that there is quite a bit of untapped potential with these two, and fans would love to see it unearthed.
