The Celtics just threw the Bucks a Rajon Rondo-esque lob

Though the start of the 2024-25 NBA season is just days away, the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to make another move, reportedly.
NBA insider Jake Fischer has reported that Milwaukee has let it be known that they are willing to deal third-year wing MarJon Beauchamp. In all likelihood, any trade would ultimately just be a salary dump to free up a roster spot, paving the way for them to sign a free agent. Ironically, hours after this rumor came to light, the Boston Celtics waived Lonnie Walker IV, someone the Bucks should pounce on.
Lonnie Walker IV's fit with the Milwaukee Bucks is easy to justify
Last season, the Milwaukee Bucks were plagued by a lack of speed, athleticism and youth. Those are three attributes that the 25-year-old Walker possesses. He's made a living with his athletic ability, as he's known for leaping out of the gym on fast breaks for thunderous dunks. For a team that needs a spark in transition not named Giannis Antetokounmpo, Walker could be the answer.
Walker, who has averaged 9.8 points per matchup during his six-year career, could give Milwaukee yet another go-to scorer off of the bench next to Bobby Portis. With AJ Green, Andre Jackson Jr. and the aforementioned Beauchamp all struggling to make their mark in the preseason, bringing in a player of Walker's stature who has shown he can score in bunches could be a wise move to beef up the wing.
By no means would Lonnie Walker IV be a game-changing addition, but he has eye-catching tools to help the Milwaukee Bucks patch some holes in the second unit. For him to even come to the Bucks, a trade will have to first go down to free up a spot, so it's all about the waiting game for the time being.
Just like how the Bucks helped the Celtics last year by trading Jrue Holiday to Portland before he was rerouted to Boston, the Celtics could help Milwaukee by letting go of a player who could be a nice late addition to the roster (No, the two moves are not comparable, as Holiday is obviously the far better player, but the point still stands).
Just like former Celtics guard and current Milwaukee Bucks "assistant" Rajon Rondo used to do in his playing days, Boston might have just thrown Milwaukee a nice alley-oop ahead of the season.
