The Milwaukee Bucks have played two preseason matchups thus far, and there have been plenty of takeaways from the contests, both good and bad.

Milwaukee opened the preseason on the road against the Detroit Pistons, suffering a loss that was overshadowed by an injury to newcomer Gary Trent Jr. Thankfully, Trent's injury looked worse than it actually was, and he returned for the team's next outing against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Bucks also dropped that one after the wheels stopped turning late, though the regulars had been pulled.

That said, let us highlight one positive and one negative stat from these two games.

Positive - Bucks' Bobby Portis has averaged 19.5 points per game

Bobby Portis will be placed under a microscope this season. He's one of the team's few valuable trade assets at this time, and if they want to make a meaningful move, he could be on the move. However, if the big man continues playing as well as he has throughout these first two preseason matchups, the Milwaukee Bucks would likely take him off the market completely.

Sure, two games is a small sample size, but Portis has been incredible thus far, averaging 19.5 points while shooting 81.5 percent from the floor and an eye-popping 90 percent from deep. He has lost no confidence in his game, as Portis took an assortment of tough shots from both inside and outside of the arc, making them look easy.

It wouldn't be realistic to expect Portis to carry these averages over into the regular season, but the big man could certainly have a career year if he keeps this momentum going.

Negative - Bucks' AJ Green has shot 22.2 percent from deep

All eyes were on AJ Green entering the preseason. The guard has received plenty of praise as of late, especially from Doc Rivers, who spoke highly of how impressive of a summer Green had. Many fans are hoping Green breaks out for the Milwaukee Bucks and stamps his place in the rotation, but these first two games have not provided much reason for optimism.

In 17.6 minutes per game, Green has averaged just three points while hitting 22.2 percent of his triple tries on 4.5 attempts. Considering he's one of the best perimeter shooters on this roster, these aren't the numbers may expected from Green. The looks have been there, but the guard simply hasn't been able to capitalize.

AJ Green has two more preseason games to shoot his way out of this slump. The only thing he can do is keep letting it fly when the looks are there and to not lose confidence. The youngster still has plenty of time to get back on track and cement his place in Rivers' rotation if he closes out the preseason strong.
