With the 2024 NBA Draft coming up, the usual (and extremely valid) concerns over the Milwaukee Bucks' many roster needs are already swirling.

Giannis Antetokounmpo remains a force of nature, but the past two first-round exits have shown us that the supporting cast requires adjustments. Their wing position is evidently the biggest concern these days now that Khris Middleton's long-term health has proven to be a consistent question mark, but the Bucks might also need a power forward who complements Giannis' skill set and strengthens their championship core.

The Bucks' frontcourt situation isn't the best at the moment. Brook Lopez, the incumbent starter, is a defensive anchor but lacks mobility in a league still trending towards floor-spacing and positionless basketball, and at 36 years old, his decline is inevitable if it hasn't already started.

Bobby Portis provides energy, scoring, and rebounding off the bench, but his defensive limitations are well known. His offensive game is a consistent spark plug, but it may not be what the Bucks need to win another title. Giannis can (and has) played either of the two positions, but the question of who takes his place off the bench is one the Bucks have yet to reckon with.

What the Milwaukee Bucks need

Milwaukee's needs at that position are simple: Giannis thrives with shooters around him, while Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton need strong, stout defenders around them to truly shine.

In today's NBA, the power forward spot is one that routinely creates defensive mismatches and clogs driving lanes. The ideal candidate can defend multiple positions, switch on screens and contribute offensively beyond putbacks. With Giannis still in his prime, the Bucks need a player who can develop alongside him and contribute to future championship runs.

The upcoming NBA Draft offers intriguing possibilities. While the top picks might be earmarked for flashier positions, hidden gems and dark horse prospects can most definitely reside within the later picks. Here are five potential power forward prospects who could seamlessly integrate into the Bucks' system.

Let's look into their strengths and weaknesses, analyzing how they could bolster the Bucks' championship aspirations.
