Milwaukee Bucks reportedly held "veteran workout" recently, but there's a catch

Not a day goes by that the Milwaukee Bucks aren't exploring ways to improve the roster.
Currently, all eyes are on what the team might do via trade ahead of the fast-approaching deadline in February. However, that might not be the only way the Bucks look to bring in new personnel, as Yahoo Sport's NBA insider Jake Fischer has reported that the team recently held a "veteran workout."
However, rather than a workout for traditional veterans, Fischer reports that is was seemingly for the team to get a look at potential two-way contract candidates.
Bucks reportedly held "veteran workout" recently, but there's a catch
This is some eye-catching news. Milwaukee's three two-way spots are occupied by Lindell Wigginton, TyTy Washington, and Marques Bolden, so the team would have to part ways with one of them to add another player. None of the three have played much of a role for the Bucks this season.
Maybe the Bucks are currently canvasing the market for a young player who could be brought aboard for cheap to help them, particularly on the defensive end.
Before fans start pitching players they would like to sign, it must be noted that two-way players must have less than four years of experience in the NBA. For example, big man Wenyen Gabriel, currently playing for Milwaukee's G-League team, cannot be signed since he has five years of experience.
That makes it harder to pinpoint who exactly the Bucks could be going after.
Fischer did not mention any names in his reporting, so any players who may have been there are just speculation at the time of this writing.
With their standard roster full, the Bucks cannot sign anyone to a standard deal at this point in time. However, perhaps if someone at this workout caught enough attention, they would give them a call later on if they opened up a roster spot around the NBA trade deadline.
More details on this workout and who was in attendance may surface in the coming days of weeks as what is shaping up to be an interesting NBA trade deadline inches closer.
