Malik Williams (Two-way)
If the Milwaukee Bucks are thin at any particular position on the roster, it is at the power forward or center areas. Between the two, they have Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis and newcomer second-round pick Tyler Smith. The team could use another body for depth purposes, though the center market is pretty dry right now. Malik Williams is among the most intriguing names.
The undrafted big man appeared in seven games with the Toronto Raptors this past season but spent most of his time in the G-League. In 33 G-League outings, he averaged 11.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. Though unpolished, the big man showed glimpses of potential in his performance, particularly as a rebounder, where he attacked the glass relentlessly.
William's physical traits are his most eye-catching feature. At 6-foot-11, 250-pounds, he boasts solid mobility and athleticism at the center position. Due to that, he has the tools to develop into a quality rim protector who can also get drawn into switching situations. It's not controversial to say that the Milwaukee Bucks could use some of that at the center position.
As intriguing as his potential is, the Bucks should not spend a standard roster spot on Malik Williams. Perhaps they could free up one of their three two-way slots. Newcomer Stanley Umude feels safe, and Ryan Rollins certainly raised his stock after a strong Summer League showing, so perhaps the team could part with Jaylin Galloway to open up room for Malik Williams.
If the Milwaukee Bucks are not satisfied with their current roster, any of these three could be nice fits.
