The verdict

Given the current needs of both teams, Craig and Carter would fit better with the Milwaukee Bucks than they do with the Chicago Bulls.

Milwaukee could use added depth both at the point guard and forward positions, and that is exactly what they'd get from these two experienced veterans. Although they weren't with the Bucks for an incredibly long time, the experience these players have with players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton could make their transition easier.

Connaughton will always be a hero for his efforts in 2021, but if there was a time to trade him away, that may be now, given his decline over the past two seasons. With Milwaukee's title window hanging in the balance, the front office cannot afford to let nostalgia hinder their decision-making, which it appears they understand clearly.

Overall, there are positives for each side, but it feels more like the Bucks win this one, even if it's not be much. It's not the flashiest trade by any means, but it's one that could help. Whether it's evidenced by Wesley Matthews, George Hill or Robin Lopez, it's known that Bucks general manager Jon Horst likes to bring in players for multiple go-rounds, and that's what he'd be doing here.
