5 Advantages Bucks have over every other East team
By Tyler Watts
3. Offense
When healthy, there is no slowing down the Bucks offense. Giannis is averaging over 30 points per game for the second straight season. He is one of the league’s best scorers and is back in the thick of the MVP race. Damian Lillard is an elite floor spacer and arguably the NBA’s best closer. The Bucks have a stretch five in Brook Lopez and a 6’7 wing who can drop 20 every night.
That makes no mention of Malik Beasley, Bobby Portis, or Jae Crowder. Beasley averaged over 19 points per game in 2021, and Portis dropped 14 every night in two of the last three seasons. Crowder is past his prime and comfortable in a bench role, but he too has netted 14 points per game.
No team has more offensive threats than the Bucks. They are second in the NBA in points per game and fourth in offensive rating. If they can maintain the elite defense they have shown under Doc Rivers, Milwaukee could be top five on both ends of the floor and a true title contender.
The Pacers have an elite offense and the Celtics feature the best top six in the NBA, but the Milwaukee Bucks have more avenues to attack. No team has an answer for Giannis. Add in Dame, Lopez, and a healthy Middleton and the Bucks have the best offense in the Eastern Conference.
